Spay/Neuter Program

Twice a year we open a month-long application period to take advantage of our reduced spay/neuter program. The next application period is October 1st-October 31st. You must apply to Second Chance to be eligible for this service. Once we have received your application, we will send you a confirmation letter and a notification which serves as your "Voucher" to take to the veterinary clinic. You will then have 6 months to have your animal spayed/neutered.

Second Chance will assist with the cost of your pet's surgery by paying $25 directly to the clinic for you.

The 2012 October application period included all veterinary clinics in Tioga County. They are: Pleasant Valley (Elkland), N. Tier Veterinary Clinic (Knoxville), Wellsboro Small Animal Hospital (Middlebury Ctr.), Wellsboro Veterinary Center (Wellsboro), Mansfield Veterinary Clinic (Mansfield), and Veterinary Medical Center (Mansfield).

Each clinic has their own rates for the surgery and additional fees may be involved. Some clinics reduced their normal fees to help make this even more affordable. Please call your veterinarian for more specific information.
